Foreign Language Online Community Coordinators/Editors – Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton, BC

Languages: French, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Chinese, German, Korean and Italian

Community: Whistler, Squamish or Pemberton, BC, Canada

As the Foreign Language Online Community Coordinator/Editor, you’ll be a part-time Lokl employee loving blogging, social media and trying to grow the community of Lokl’s foreign language sites. Working out of your home or anywhere with WiFi, you’ll be an integral part of leading Lokl’s success in the Sea-To-Sky Corridor.

About you
Loves languages, writing and taking photos.
Fire-starter, self-starter and driven.
Social. People know you and love you!
Like to work in small groups and/or can self-impose a mean deadline
Have more than a few years of post-graduate professional experience (in any field, we’re generous!)

About the job
Writing, recruiting, editing and making sure the site is filled with quality content in your language
Write locally inspiring stories daily. Try to pitch and connect to local businesses and owners and marketing partners.
Marketing outreach: connect with the right local organizations, foreign language speaking sponsors and sell or barter sponsorships for promotion of Lokl.
Be social and communicate!

Other fun requirements
Experience living or working in the Corridor
Experience with social networking, grassroots marketing tactics, and event planning
